I am most definitely home. Blue sky, 80-degrees, and PLENTY of palm trees!

My trip is ending . . .
My trip is nearly over. As the weather gets cold everwhere, I am headed back to my home state, where it's always warm!
I had a perfect ending to my trip. As I awoke this morning, I was greeted by this beautiful sunrise over Greenville, South Carolina! What could be a better conclusion to my trip?

Falls Park on the Reedy River
My journey southbound towards home has definitely begun. I entered South Carolina today.
Falls Park in the center of downtown Greenville SC is beautiful; it is the pride of Greenville and the best part is it is free to everyone. During the summer the flowers are blooming so pretty. There were a few flowers today, but not as many. It was a gorgeous, cold day to walk around the park and downtown Greenville. I was staying at the Courtyard Downtown Greenville and there couldn't be a more PERFECT location. You can walk to everything from that beautiful hotel. The staff is wonderful and the rooms are spectacular with great views. I love that place. It doesn't come cheap, but it is worth it!

The magnificent Liberty Bridge.
The views of the park from this bridge are just spectacular!
I love these waterfalls!
The park is so amazing to walk around. It's a very peaceful place.
If you climb up just a few stairs, you are in downtown Greenville where there are tons of great shops and restaurants.
Some little Mallards
And, Canadian geese.
Some folks building towers or rocks.
And, here I am enjoying this beautiful, pristine place!
Beautiful, beautiful flowers!
I loved these. They were velvety to the touch - so soft!
After the park, I enjoyed a pizza and a stroll around downtown Greenville. I love this place. All the shops are so nice and the area is very historic. Great place to visit!
This is my favorite building in Greenville. I love it!
A memorial for 9/11
Cool! They dyed the fountain pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
MICE ON MAIN
This is really cute. All over Main Street they have these little bronze mice - in different positions. In one area, there is a story about how they came to be. It's very cute! I like looking for the different mice.
THE BEST! was the Army-Navy Store. It had all this cool Army stuff in it. The bicycle is authentic and I think the guy said it was from the 40s or 50s (I forgot which).
VEGETARIAN MEAL?
Really? This can't be good - can it?!?
